In coastal AI data centers, high-pressure CDUs (Coolant Distribution Units), immersion liquid cooling systems, and heat exchangers for chemical liquid cooling equipment, the tubesheet serves as the critical component that defines the pressure boundary and connects the tube bundle. The 316L stainless steel forged tubesheet, with its exceptional resistance to chloride-induced pitting corrosion, favorable high-temperature mechanical properties, and dense forged microstructure, has become the preferred solution for these demanding service conditions.
Jiangyin Eternal Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. manufactures these tubesheets in strict compliance with the internationally recognized standard ASTM A182/A182M (Standard Specification for Forged or Rolled Alloy and Stainless Steel Pipe Flanges, Forged Fittings, and Valves and Parts for High-Temperature Service). The material corresponds to ASTM A182 Grade F316L, ensuring that chemical composition, mechanical properties, and non-destructive examination (NDE) requirements are fully aligned with major global engineering codes and specifications.

Melting:
Electric furnace + secondary refining (AOD/VOD) or electroslag remelting (ESR) to ensure clean molten steel and uniform composition.
Forging:
Multi-directional forging process, main section forging ratio ≥ 3, continuous and dense metal flow lines, eliminating defects such as shrinkage cavities and porosity.
Heat Treatment:
Solution treatment (S) per ASTM A182 at 1010–1150°C with rapid cooling to fully dissolve carbides, ensuring the best resistance to intergranular corrosion.
Too high a temperature may cause grain coarsening, but optimized chemistry (e.g., micro‑nitrogen addition) effectively controls abnormal grain growth, maintaining a good balance of toughness and strength.
Machining:
Surface machined to meet NDT requirements and tube hole precision. Surface roughness is suitable for strength‑expansion tube joints or seal‑welding processes.
Quality is assured through rigorous inspection at every stage of production
According to DIN EN 10228-3, Quality Class 3.
According to DIN 1690, Part 2, Acceptance Level 2.
According to ASTM E112 ≥5
According to ASTM A262 Practice E
Application | Condition | Selection |
Coastal Intelligent Computing Center Liquid Cooling CDU | High salt fog environment, utilization of natural cold sources from seawater/lake water, 2-4 MPa high-pressure closed-loop system | 316L resists chloride ion stress corrosion, ensuring maintenance-free operation for 15 to 20 years. |
Immersion/Cold Plate Liquid Cooling System | A closed pure water circuit on the primary side, with a supply temperature of 25-50℃, and extremely high requirements for water quality cleanliness. | The forged tube plates are dense and leak-free, ensuring zero contamination of the cooling medium. |
Chemical and pharmaceutical heat exchangers | Corrosive media, FDA/USP compliance requirements, and the double-tube plate design to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination. | Designed in accordance with ASME BPE standards, it features full row cleaning capacity and traceability. |
High-pressure pressure vessel | High design pressure and temperature cycling fluctuations | The forging has a uniform structure and the ultrasonic testing results meet the requirements of level I. |
